Gamma Upsilon is a Graduate Chapter that was formed with the purpose of joining like men with similar ideas in Wichita, Kansas. On December 29, 1949 this idea became a reality through the perseverance of the Founders; Bro. Dunbar Reed and Bro. Ambrose Woodard, Sr. and the eight men of the Charter Line pictured above.
Since then, Gamma Upsilon Chapter has continued to introduce some of the most successful businessmen, politicians and educators into our community. The Chapter has been fortunate to continue to obtain men of similar ideals, aspiration and be a beacon not only in the Black Community, but in the greater Wichita Community.
Gamma Upsilon is a working Chapter thoroughly immersed in the cardinal principles of the Fraternity and continues to initiate men who can influence outcomes for the benefit of society. We plan to work as a “TEAM”, because Together Everyone Achieves More.
The current brothers of Gamma Upsilon are grateful to the Founders of the Fraternity and our Chapter for making their dreams a reality. Through the sacrifice of many people we are able to Build Bridges for other young men to follow. Long live Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
